A different kind of business
At EC Harris, we do things differently. Far removed from a traditional professional services provider in the construction industry, we’re an international consultancy that adds value to the construction and operation of building assets. So what makes us different? We believe it’s the way we create the best results for our clients and the best training ground for our graduates.
Graduate, Year Out, Summer Placement and Day Release opportunities exist across our UK offices. We have 140 positions available in quantity surveying, building surveying, project management, management consultancy, safety, health & environment (SHE) consultancy, facilities management engineering and M&E engineering. Working at EC Harris is an education in itself.
A flying start
You will join a full and comprehensive development programme that is carefully structured to help you pass a relevant professional qualification, normally your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), in the minimum time frame. But your development won’t stop with a professional qualification; our development programme ensures you are equipped with the technical and professional knowledge to excel in your day-to-day role, as well as developing your soft and people skills to enhance your capability to become one of our leaders of tomorrow.

Who we recruit
Graduates
We recruit graduates from all disciplines who have at least a 2:2 or equivalent, not just those with a surveying/construction-related degree. In our experience, noncognates enrich our environment by bringing us different skills and perspectives. This is why they are treated as favourably as cognates, with financial support to undertake conversion courses and on-the-job coaching to overcome any knowledge gaps.
Year Out, Summer Placement & Day Release students
We also have opportunities for Year Out, Summer Placement and Day Release students who we offer sponsorship for Year Out and Summer Placement students returning to university, as well as payment of course fees for those studying on a Day Release basis.

Rewards
As well as a competitive starting salary, you can look forward to an array of benefits including:
How to apply
We are recruiting across our UK offices, while you will join an office initially, you do not have to spend your whole career there – there will be plenty of scope to move to other offices, both in the UK and internationally, to gain new experiences.
To apply for a position please visit www.echarris.com/graduates.
Click on the link to search and apply for vacancies, locate the role you are interested in applying for and complete the online application. This will automatically be sent through to us and you will be notified via email on the progress of your application.
Graduates
If your application is successful, you will be invited to a regional one-day assessment centre. This is as much for you to find out about us as it is for us to find out about you, and we try to make it an interesting and enjoyable experience. You will undertake a range of group work and individual activities and one-to-one interviews, and we will be happy to answer any questions you have about life at EC Harris.
Year Out, Summer Placement & Day Release students
If your application is successful, you will be invited to an interview in the location you are interested in. This will allow you to show your skills and qualities beyond what you can tell us on your application form and build up a fuller picture of our business.
Whichever position you are applying for, we aim to make a decision within two weeks of your assessment or interview.
