Chartered Building Surveyor
A superb position has presented itself for a chartered building surveyor to join a well-established, boutique and very successful consultancy in the West End.
The company has built a solid platform and track record of delivering building surveying and project management services to their clients. These clients range from blue chip corporate occupiers, developers, estates and institutional investors. The business employs 25 professionals and is led by a charismatic, entrepreneurial managing director and supported by three Directors leading the traditional service lines.
The Building Surveying team are 5 strong. They are proactive, have a “one for all” culture that means not one person is left on their own to get on with duties unless of course, this is something that they desire. This team offers full building surveying consultancy services from acquisition, contract administration through to schedules of condition and neighborly maters.
The role entails roughly, a 60% to 40% split across project and professional services working across all of the aforementioned sectors, though specifically Retail and Office. As you progress into a more senior appointment, you’ll be expected to gauge more with clients and take on a more business-minded approach to your role.
You will be MRICS and ideally have 12-24 months PQE. Although more would be considered, this is not for a senior role, but likely to progress to a ‘senior surveyor’ in due course. Less would also be considered but subject to the candidate’s experience. You will have a good understanding in all areas of surveying, especially around Contract Administration. You must have excellent communication skills and are keen to progress your career.
