Chartered Building Surveyor (Client Side)
We have just been instructed on a fantastic opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join one of London’s most prestigious Landlords.
This client organisation owns and develops a property portfolio that is made up of commercial, residential retail assets. The diverse portfolio is all located within a short walk of the offices in Central London.
They are probably one of London’s most active Landowners, ensuring their period properties are well maintained, whether it be internal, external or services. When tenants are coming close to their lease expiry our client is looking at opportunities for the asset. This typically means in excess of £500k a year is spent on maintenance and circa £6 million is spent on development works. 2019 is going to be a particularly a busy year with more than £17 million already committed to the development of the portfolio.
Duties are mainly project led, dealing with cyclical and planned maintenance, refurbishments, alterations, replacement of building services and large-scale contract administration, as well as project management. You will be responsible for scoping the works, developing the brief, setting budgets, controlling cost, appointing and managing consultants where necessary but delivering the majority of jobs yourself.
You will ideally be a chartered building surveyor, who is probably a few years post qualified, your experience will come from private practice or a client organisation. It is essential that you are used to managing your own workload, working within and contributing to a team environment. You will be used to using Microsoft Office, in particular word and excel. It is essential that you are able to work full time, 5 days a week between 9.00am – 5.00pm.

In return you will be well compensated, offered a diverse role, given autonomy and flexibility to carry out your duties in a personal and professional manner.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Pension- 15% non-contributory
Holiday – 25 days
Bonus – 8 – 10% of salary
