Civil Infrastructure Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Civil Engineer to join WYG’s extremely successful and versatile infrastructure / demolition engineering team within the engineering division. Based in our Nottingham office, this is a unique opportunity to become part of a growing team, responsible for generating work and undertaking work generated by other parts of the business.

Your role 

You will report to the Associate Director, delivering projects within the wider infrastructure / demolition team. This will be a design, drafting and report preparation role with the opportunity to supervise project activities on site. You will be given responsibility for the technical and self-management of your own project work as well as acting as part of a team working on elements of major WYG commissions. It is one of our key values to provide excellence in everything that we do, so you will be mentored and trained towards this aim.

About you

• A recognised engineering degree and working towards IEng / CEng in an appropriate professional discipline. WYG operates an approved training scheme for the ICE and will offer support or a Training Agreement for a suitable candidate
• An enthusiastic and professional approach to engineering problems
• Demonstrable experience and an understanding of design and engineering
• Able to use technical design software
• AutoCad knowledge
• Adaptable with strong social, interpersonal and communication skills
• Good health and safety practices within the work place and design
• A strong commitment to knowledge acquisition and CPD
• Fully IT literate and proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages
• Full UK driving license
• Suitable for security clearance
