About the roles
We have a number of opportunities across the country for RICS Chartered Surveyors on permanent and fixed-term bases within our Property Services specialist sector teams. Join the Valuation Office Agency, and you will provide valuations, professional property advice, and related services to various public sector bodies.
It’s a chance to use your expertise to provide technical advice in the field of local, devolved, and regional government; planning and development consultancy; transport and infrastructure; health, or central government. Dealing with an individual caseload, you will provide expert witness evidence at planning appeals and public enquiries.
About the individual
A fully qualified member of RICS, you will have considerable experience of writing complex reports. Your excellent technical knowledge will be matched by sound organisational and analytical skills and an understanding of legislation. Alongside knowledge of a wide range of surveying work, you will have a high level of expertise in at least one of the defined sectors.
We’re looking for people with the versatility and commercial acumen to get involved in the marketing of professional services, including identifying business opportunities, contributing to tenders, and building relationships with new clients. A full driving licence will be essential, as you will be travelling to sites across mainland UK including overnight stays when necessary.

As an executive agency of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), The Valuation Office Agency provides the government with the valuations and property advice to support taxation and benefits.
