The Environment Agency deals with some of the biggest environmental challenges facing our country; from flooding to major pollution incidents, illegal waste to climate change. If you’re looking to make your mark on the planet, this is your chance.
We need you to maintain and develop our property database and record systems to provide accurate and timely property management information and ensure landholdings data is reconciled with other Environment Agency systems. You will prepare plans to record property information to support the effective management of the Environment Agency’s land/property assets.
Your remit will include working closely with our four customer facing operational business units to ensure internal and external customer requests for information and support are resolved effectively.
You will investigate and provide recommendations involving the interpretation of legal documentation. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a professional estates office (or equivalent professional service) and be able to support the delivery of a defined national service. You will be technically competent over a wide range of record management issues including the ability to develop and maintain computerised management data systems to support a professional service.
You will have a good level of interpersonal skills essential to influence the full range of internal and external customers. You will have experience in identifying and implementing areas of best practice in terms of records and data systems. As the role will involve travelling to remote places, a full driving licence and use of a car will be essential.
In return, we offer a competitive package with a range of benefits and the opportunity to make a real difference to the environment. We are fully committed to having an inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve and welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible working patterns, including job share.
