My client is a large firm of cost and project management consultants providing all types of personnel to a range of oil and gas operators for projects worldwide. They now have an urgent requirement for several Degree qualified (or equivalent) Quantity Surveyor / Cost Engineer for a contract role based in Hamburg, Germany for a period of 12 months renewable. You must have at least 5 - 8 years or more quantity surveying experience in the oil and gas industry, with some experience of working on FPSO's as this project is the refurbishment of FPSO's. Experience of doing all aspects of post contract administration work including contract administration, budget preparation and cost reporting. Experience required of man-hour and financial cost analysis and reporting systems. Experience of site measurement and man-hour recording of construction work in all oil and gas disciplines. You will need to have particular experience of measuring work packs and checking contractors progress. Fluent English is required with no further requirement for language skills although some German would be useful. You will be paid on a daily rate which is highly negotiable according to experience plus there will be a per diem allowance for accommodation etc.
