My client is a firm of construction consultants providing a range of services including Project Management, health and safety, Quantity Surveying as well as some more specialist services to their clients from several offices across the U.K. They now have a requirement for a qualified Project Manager who is Degree qualified and possibly also MAPM, MRICS or similarly qualified who may be a Quantity Surveyor, Building Surveyor, Architect or similar by background prior to moving in to Project Management. You will be from around two years PQE to twenty years PQE in Project Management to join their busy London office. They are seeking someone who has already been working in London who knows the London marketplace. You must have a good stable work record with experience gained with other firms of consultants, have good communication skills, be able to deal directly with clients, have good experience of all front end project management duties from feasibility stages through to completion, be able to chair meetings, represent the client, have good computer literacy and be able to work without supervision. The ideal candidate will have worked for a known firm of construction consultants and have experience of commercial offices, high quality mixed use projects, high quality residential, theatres and arts sector projects and you will need to be happy working on projects generally valued from around £2m to £50m in value.
