The National Trust for Scotland is Scotland’s third largest landowner, best known for visited buildings and countryside estates. In addition to presenting over 128 sites to members and to the public, we manage a portfolio of retail, catering and hospitality properties, and also generate income from numerous and highly varied commercial leases, residential and agricultural tenancies. The National Trust for Scotland now has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Surveyor to join our surveying team in Aberdeenshire. As Assistant Surveyor, you will support the team in the conservation, repair and maintenance of an assigned group of Trust buildings, their associated services and facilities. You will also be expected to undertake continual professional development.
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant, post-qualifying experience of surveying/architectural technology with a working knowledge of Scottish cultural and architectural history and sound knowledge and understanding of conservation philosophy, including relevant Charters. You will also be well organised with excellent project planning and IT skills (including CAD) together with strong interpersonal and team working skills.
