The Quantity Surveying Division of Keegans has a hard-earned reputation for traditional 'muddy boots' quantity surveying and blending practicality with a forward looking, professional approach to contracts and procurement. That is why we have a good order book in a difficult market and are seeking to recruit two additional high calibre Quantity Surveyors.

Essential requirements

  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (M/FRICS)
  • Client facing and able to act in a strong independent role
  • Hardworking, flexible, proactive and pragmatic
  • Ability to build and sustain strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Ability to organise personal workload with minimal supervision and manage tasks to meet planned objectives in terms of time and cost
  • Willing and able to work pre & post contract within both public and private sectors
  • Strong contractual knowledge and experience of both traditional and partnering contract forms
  • Knowledge and experience of EU procurement regulations
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to listen, mediate and negotiate
  • Proficient in the use of computerized systems and spreadsheets
  • Positive ‘can do’ attitude and commitment to Continuing Professional Development

Desirable requirements

  • Good knowledge of M&E services installations (able to challenge engineers' designs and specifications)
  • Employer's Agent experience
