My client, a large specialist Claims consultants is urgently seeks to recruit experienced Claims Consultant who can speak Spanish and who has experience of drafting claims. The project is based in Colombia and is a mining project so previous experience of either mining, heavy engineering or civils projects is preferred.You must also have good experience in the use of FIDIC. My client needs people who have the experience to analyse information, and do preparation and defence of claims on behalf of a large EPC contractor. The successful candidate will need to be able to work without supervision and will have ideally been UK trained although other candidates will be considered provided they have the right background along with Spanish language skills. You are likely to have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar and likely to be Chartered (MRICS or MCIOB or similar) plus possibly be MCIArb qualified. You should have more than ten years' experience in drafting claims with a good previous career as a contractor's quantity surveyor. This role will initially be for a period of 6 months but may be extended depending on progress with the project and there will be opportunities to move to other projects across South America. Salary / Rate is negotiable and our client will provide accommodation, flights or a flight allowance etc.
