Anderson, Wilde and Harris are a multi-disciplinary practice of Chartered Valuation and Building
Surveyors.
Our team of Chartered Surveyors are mainly based in Central London and the position will be at our head office near Chancery Lane.
We are currently looking for graduate surveyors to intern with our professional valuers and building surveyor teams.
- We are seeking applications for graduate general practitioner positions wishing to train in
residential and commercial valuations as well as some landlord and tenant work.
- We also wish to receive applications for graduate positions in building surveying. The work will involve general projects in building pathology and some residential and commercial valuations.
These vacancies are unsalaried on a 3 month basis and expenses will be paid.
The internship is for a period of three months after which a training contract may be offered.
This is a route by which several of our current team of Chartered Surveyors joined the firm and indeed qualified as well as others who did so and have moved on. Candidates are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity not only to experience work but to carry out to a professional level that
surveying work as the means to demonstrating their suitability for the award of a training contract.
Your goals should be for the current team to insist that management keep you on because you have become indispensible. On rare occasions contracts have been offered to exceptional candidates before the end of the internship!
The goals of the internship program are:
a. to provide AWH with a source of APC candidates assessed through a work experience
program to have high ability; and, who have demonstrated commitment, intelligence and
determination during a program of basic training;
b. to provide useful professional support to AWH’s surveying teams;
c. to provide bona-fide work experience that is beyond the shadowing of surveyors and in
excess of any other work experience program available in the industry;
d. to make all interns, who approach and conduct their internship with enthusiasm hard work
and commitment, vastly more employable than before their time at AWH;
e. to provide interns with a knowledgeable, professional and respected source for an employment reference over a period of work/work experience long enough to carry weight in order to support their future applications elsewhere and their careers.
Our aim is for this to be the best such program in the industry and a ‘badge of honour’ on a cv.
We will be accepting applications up to and including the 10th May 2012, we will be interviewing after the 11th May 2012 and the prospective starting date for successful candidates is the 2nd July 2012.
We thank you in advance for your interest in this position, unfortunately due to the high number of applications expected we will only be able to contact successful candidates.
