We now have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the Building Control Team and help to improve the environment of Barking and Dagenham.

20 minutes from the Olympic Stadium, City Airport and the City of London yet enjoying access to open countryside in London’s Green Belt.
The borough will see ambitious growth and change over the next 20 years with developments such as the Barking Rivergate Centre, new high and low rise housing, new business, industrial and commercial centres, and a new leisure centre. The borough also has a large existing housing stock that is constantly being extended and improved. The Building Control team will have a busy and varied role in taking these projects forward from plan checking to completion.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, self disciplined surveyor with full membership of the ABE or RICS to join our Building Control Team to maintain the quality of service which our customers have come to expect. You will need to be able to undertake the full range of Building Control duties with minimal supervision. Based at the Town Hall in Barking you will be given the opportunity to deal with a wide range of Building Regulation applications.
