•Join one of the country’s biggest land and property owners
•Oversee delivery of our workplace management capital investment programme
•Lead a team of project managers
•Manage projects worth £12million and more

Network Rail is at the heart of revitalising Britain’s railway. From the rejuvenation of King’s Cross station and the upgrade and expansion of Thameslink, to Europe’s largest civil engineering project - Crossrail – we’re involved in some of the most ambitious and diverse ventures Britain has ever seen. This will help us deliver the better railway that is vital for the economic prosperity of this country, transforming how people travel and making a massive difference to passengers and freight users across Britain.

In addition, we’re one of the largest land and property owners in the country. Our Property team is responsible for generating sustainable income from our estate, so that we can then reinvest it into our rail infrastructure. The team's diverse portfolio encompasses all 'non-operational' property, from which we constantly seek to derive the best possible value.

Leading a small team of project managers, you’ll oversee the successful delivery of an ambitious workplace management capital investment programme – a challenge that will see you working closely with engineers, architects and contractors, as you manage projects worth £12million plus. Throughout your work, you’ll focus on a number of core goals – optimising costs, layout and customer experience, creating new space and securing funding. You’ll achieve all this by setting and achieving budgetary targets, producing sound project briefs, and maintaining good working relationships with senior-level business partners.

You’ll need:

•Degree level qualification in Engineering, Construction or Surveying
•Significant client side project management experience
•Corporate background at senior management level
•Proven ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders
•Track record of managing and delivering office fit-out projects

Network Rail welcomes applications from a diverse range of candidates regardless of background, disability or gender and is committed to creating a workforce as diverse as the communities we serve.
