Commercial Auditor (003863)
Salary dependent upon skills, knowledge and experience
London

Help us to deliver internal audit assurance on some of the biggest contracts around, and your career could benefit hugely.

With a multi £bn of annual procurement spend across a broad range of categories spanning both OPEX and CAPEX, TfL’s commercial capability is a key factor in its success.  Providing TfL management with the right assurance on its commercial activity is vital.

Internal Auditors in TfL work on an amazing portfolio of capital investment and key operational contracts. We are helping TfL deliver a massive investment programme and to run one of the most complex and busy transport networks in the world.

Due to internal promotion/transfer, we have a vacancy for an experienced professional from the world of procurement and contract management who is also familiar with the sort of large engineering and construction contracts that TfL runs, and wants to help us do it even better.

We are specifically looking for people who have the technical expertise, professional accreditation and commercial focus to identify the issues in these contracts and find better ways of working. That means an ability to think across the full spectrum of macro and micro commercial issues, analysing issues and presenting viable solutions. Whether you come from the supplier side, client side or consultancy, you’ll have experience of big contracts, either as an auditor or a manager working in a large construction, utilities, defence, telecoms or similar organisation.

You will have extensive planning and organising skills, be a clear verbal communicator, and be able to express yourself in excellent English. More than anything else, you’ll have the presence to engage with managers, foster relationships, and negotiate the best possible outcomes.

We require candidates to have professional accreditation, a degree level or equivalent qualification, and evidence of CPD.

Closing date: 25th July 2012.

We aspire to be as diverse as the city we serve, we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
