Following the Government’s decision to go ahead with high speed rail, HS2 requires seven Property Acquisition Managers to deliver and manage the land acquisition programme for the HS2 project, from inception to completion.
As one of HS2’s Property Acquisition Managers, your role will be key to delivering possession, ownership and use of property, initially on the Phase 1 route of London to Birmingham. Your remit will also include developing and implementing property acquisition policy and strategy, the management of Exceptional Hardship and Blight Schemes, as well as maintaining the property information systems and database.
If you have significant property sector experience and are a qualified chartered surveyor, with excellent knowledge of all types of property and a proven track record of delivering large-scale land acquisition for major public sector projects, then we’d like to hear from you. Your understanding of the compulsory purchase/compensation and blight process as well as excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills will be key. An appreciation of the role and structure of Government and development of public policy would be advantageous.
