Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor
Due to the continued success of our Welwyn Garden City office, Rider Levett Bucknall is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor to work with a number of our key clients in the residential and commercial sector.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a career minded professional QS to work for a leading PQS practice on exciting projects for various dynamic client organisations; who can take responsibility for project delivery.
To be considered for this role you must have the following essential experience:
Essential:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar technical discipline
- Chartered member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
- A minimum of four years (Intermediate QS) or six years (Senior QS) technical delivery experience / exposure to commercial, retail and residential projects.
- Knowledge and experience of using BIM (Building Information Modelling)
- Feasibility and cost planning, procurement advice, tender documentation and post contract services
- Previously employed by a consultancy (PQS) or end user client
- Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts and forging new business relationships
- Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
- Commitment to service delivery and improvement
- Capable of working on own initiative and have good time/resource management skills
- Ability to identify and develop potential opportunities to secure more business for RLB
- A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workload and delivering to deadlines
- A team player, outgoing, flexible, energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious
