The opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Chartered Building Surveyor, at either Senior or Associate level, to join an established building consultancy team within a leading real estate service provider.
The role
You will be supporting the Director in all aspects of Building Surveying within the Consultancy team. From day one there will be a high level of client contact and the opportunity to build string networks with all of their UK offices. Clients will be occupiers and investors principally from the commercial sector although some public sector work will be undertaken.
Main Accountabilities
- Taking and being responsible for instructions reporting to Director.
- Working as part of a regional and national team for the delivery of portfolio survey exercises or large building contracts.
- Responsible for managing own workload on day-to-day basis.
- Building inspections
- Design and contract administration duties - principally repair and maintenance works with some fit out.
- Dilapidations, acting on behalf of landlords/tenants.
- Schedules of condition.
- Fire insurance/reinstatement valuations.
- Planned maintenance.
- Party Wall advice
Essential experience
- MRICS - ideally minimum 3 years PQE
- Experience of design and contract administration duties - principally repair and maintenance works with some fit out.
- Dilapidations, acting on behalf of landlords/tenants.
- Schedules of condition.
- Fire insurance/reinstatement valuations.
- Planned maintenance.
- Acquisition/building surveys
