Quantity Surveyor
Initially based in Lochgilphead, with some flexibility within Argyll
£30204 - £34260 per annum
35 hours per week
This is an exciting and challenging new post created as part of the recent review of the Investment & Regeneration Department. Based in the Association’s Lochgilphead office, this role is to assist the Regeneration Manager to provide full quantity surveying duties to assist the delivery of the Associations Investment Programme and other related asset management activities. The Association has aspirations to expand its development programme and the appointment may include undertaking work in this area subject to external funding.
The successful candidate will ideally be educated to degree level, be a Member of the RICS and have a proven track record of providing full quantity surveying services and managing construction projects from inception to completion. It would be desirable to have previous experience of investment in housing association stock or in a related field.
The post holder must be able to establish good and effective working relationships with partners and external stakeholders, and represent the organisation to appropriate regulatory bodies, other housing associations, developers, partners and contractors, communicating the corporate vision and strategy. The successful applicant will be required to manage other staff within this section, mentor and oversee the training of staff undertaking quantity surveying activities.
The applicant must be fully IT conversant with MS and surveying packages and have good written and oral communication skills. A current driving licence is essential for the post. This post attracts a Contributory final salary pension scheme, essential car user allowance and flexi-time working arrangements subject to service delivery.
