PRINCIPAL PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT SURVEYOR
c £45,000 - £57,000

This is a great opportunity to apply your sound business sense to a diverse and fascinating property portfolio that ranges from state-of-the art offices to listed buildings such as our Art Deco Broadway headquarters. Not only is our estate the third largest in London – it’s also one that’s experiencing lots of action – unlike many others in the current economic climate.

About us

A rich heritage. A strong commercial focus. An iconic brand. They all add up to make Transport for London a unique public service – and a great place to develop your career.

The role

We need a commercially-focused individual to manage a variety of property development and sales projects. You’ll lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, lead negotiations personally to deliver added value and manage complex stakeholder relationships within TfL and the wider GLA family. You’ll also use your excellent communication skills to prepare well-argued business cases and reports.

What you’ll need

Your understanding of planning, construction, financial appraisal and other core property development concepts will ideally be supported by a RICS or equivalent qualification. The ability to carry out evaluations, instruct solicitors and work on your own initiative under pressure will be essential. To this you’ll add a patient, methodical approach, strong networking skills and a sound grasp of relevant IT packages such as “Circle.”

Excellent benefits include:

•30 days holiday plus public and bank holidays
•Final salary pension scheme
•Free Tube travel and travel concessions including discounted Eurostar travel
•Private medical benefit

Closing date: 17th August 2012
