FIXED-TERM (12 MONTHS) / FULL-TIME

The NTS is an independent charity, founded in 1931 to safeguard the nation’s magnificent heritage of architectural, scenic and historic treasures and is best known for our presentation of 128 visited buildings and countryside estates.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rural Surveyor to contribute to this heritage across the Aberdeenshire, Angus, Perthshire, Fife and Edinburgh.

The post holder will provide professional Rural Surveying and Estate Management support, property consultancy and advice, primarily to the Group Managers, ensuring at all times that this is undertaken in accordance with Trust practice and policy to achieve best value for the NTS. 

Furthermore, to analyse and present opportunities in the property portfolio for best use, value and benefit to the Trust and the wider Estate, and to manage and maintain current property records and database.

To be successful in this role you will have considerable experience of wide ranging surveying tasks, including work on historic buildings and rural estates, demonstrable experience in asset management and ideally possess chartered membership of RICS. Furthermore, you will have well developed leadership, communication and project management skills with potentially a wide range of contacts within the development industry.
