Business Rates Team
The DJD Rating team provides business rate advice throughout the United Kingdom to over 360 clients. On the 2005 Rating List, our rating team dealt with over 10,000 appeals. We achieved a success rate in excess of 90% with an average reduction of almost 25%. We are processing a similar number on the 2010 Rating List. Working across specialist industries the right candidate will have the opportunity to build a niche skill set and work with a wide variety of clients and projects.
As we grow the rating business we are open to speaking to individuals at a Surveyor/Senior Surveyor and AD level.
Responsibilities
Carry out inspections, assist with rating appeals and prepare draft reports. Undertake rental/cost analysis Assist in/work on Tribunal preparations Preparation of meeting reports and participation in client meetings Advise on accuracy and validity of rate accounts Assist in managing team finances Ensure timely and accurate billing and debt management Actively manage and develop client relationships Assist in developing the skills of junior team members Seek opportunities to promote and sell DJD business opportunities Contribute to managing and enhancing client service levels
Requirements
MRICS qualified Demonstrated track record of working in rating Good negotiation skills Strong report writing skills Ability to build relationships with clients and network across the UK
