PROPERTY BUILDING SURVEYOR

Marston’s PLC is one of the UK’s leading independent brewing and pub retail businesses. Marston’s Beer & Pub Company is the tenanted and leased division of Marston’s PLC, operating approximately 1,100 tenanted and leased businesses throughout the country.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Property Management Team at Marston’s Beer & Pub Company as a Property Building Surveyor. This is a permanent, full time position and will be field based, covering the North West area. The successful candidate will take responsibility for providing a full and comprehensive Property Management service to a defined estate of tenanted houses.
JOB ROLE
•Responsibility for undertaking property review meetings, managing property compliance, project managing pre substantive work and reactive repair projects, ensuring that the agreed work is completed within the agreed legal timescale to the required standard and within the period budget.
•The management of emergency repair projects with an active monthly budget.
•Develop effective working relationships with internal and external contacts and offer support, advice and guidance where necessary and as required.
•To add value to the wider Property Team.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
•Able to demonstrate experience of Property Management and an understanding of building construction, with a building related degree or equivalent.
•Ideally RICS qualified or working towards being awarded RICS status.
•Demonstrates a commitment to Company development and can demonstrate a track record of effective communication within a variety of environments.
•Works well in a multi disciplined team.
•Flexible to travel throughout our pub estate.
•Able to challenge difficult customers.
•To have an interest in the Pub industry.
