Quantity Surveyor – Rail – London
VINCI Construction UK Ltd, a leading UK construction company is seeking Quantity Surveyors to join our rail projects based in Central London.
The role
As a Quantity Surveyor, reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be pivotal in providing commercial support to the project team.
Providing planning, provision and monitoring of commercial support and assurance to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and the project delivery team
-Duties will include procurement, change management, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
-Production of accurate and timely financial forecasts for use in setting targets
-Establishing and maintaining accurate and robust reporting structures and monitoring resources and costs to ensure that projects meet and / or exceed targets
-Developing a comprehensive understanding of financial models including cashflow; turnover forecasts and project profit / loss statements
-Assisting in the prompt preparation and settlement of final accounts, including Compensation Events (variations), claims and disputes
-Ensuring Identification of risks in projects and implementing risk management, risk registers and contingencies to minimise the risks
-Procuring materials and off site services in an efficient manner with organisations in accordance with VINCI procurement policy and procedures and ensuring appropriate records are kept.
The candidate
-Ideally you will be degree educated or equivalent, or have equivalent experience.
-Demonstrable experience as a Quantity Surveyor with experience gained within Civil Engineering.
-Previous demonstrable experience gained within transportation/rail related is desirable alongside experience of working within an LU environment.
-NEC experience is paramount.
-Excellent communication, organisational and team working skills are essential.
