Estate Management Surveyor, central Birmingham
The business is a dynamic and growing urban regeneration project, with a portfolio of 700 commercial units across 15 acres in Birmingham city centre. The tenants are a mix of digital, high tech, design, new media, media, TV production and retail.
The estate is run by a close knit management team covering lettings, legal, financial control, and designers. A Management Surveyor is being sought as a key part of the team.
The Management Surveyor will manage and build Landlord and Tenant relationships across the estate.
The role will involve putting in place a strategy for maintaining the estate, and managing small and medium works and facilities management contractors, business rates, insurance, utilities, service charges and health and safety.
The Management Surveyor will take budget responsibility for these items.
We can consider candidates from around 4 years PQE. Ideal candidates will be MRICS qualified with strong knowledge and experience of property management.
The successful candidate will be expected to have good practical knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant act, familiarity with commercial leases and a general knowledge of surveying matters.
The successful candidate should:
*Be Shrewd and commercially minded;
*Have experience in managing commercial tenants;
*Have MRICS status with 4 years + PQE, ideally more;
*Be flexible and creative in approach;
*Be looking for a long term role;
*Be committed by nature and determined to succeed;
