Surveying Companies Still Hiring
There are many changes happening to the way in which we work because of the impact of coronavirus, whilst many face job loss or a continuation on the furlough scheme, you may ask, are there any companies still hiring?
The short answer is yes. RICS Recruit has over 800 surveying jobs right now. Below are some of the companies currently advertising roles that you could work for.
Terracotta Limited
Terracotta is formed of a small agile team. Due to the unforeseen spike in residential transactions, demand for their building surveys has increased significantly. With a number of project management jobs in the pipeline, they are able to sustain new members of the team, even if the number of building surveys declines. They are growing rapidly and are exploring new opportunities. Accordingly, the new recruits should be dynamic and enterprising. As a small company, Terracotta are able to make decisions quickly and empower their team to flourish.

Dunsin Surveyors
Dunsin Surveyors are still recruiting during this difficult and unprecedented coronavirus pandemic.
Their surveyors and admin staff work from home so they were therefore in a position to adapt quickly and efficiently to the new ways of working during this pandemic.
Their surveyors enjoy the flexibility of being able to choose when, where and if they want to work. Some of their surveyors have full-time jobs elsewhere and are only able to work for them during their free time eg on weekends. Whilst some of their surveyors work as consultants for them and other companies at the same time.
Dunsin Surveyors business model and quality assurance ethos ensure that we always have high volumes of work. They are therefore able to provide their surveyors with as much work as they can handle.
The recently recruited surveyors have been drawn to them by the flexibility, high fees and generous commission.
Dunsin Surveyors are still receiving requests on a daily basis so still want to recruit experienced, flexible and proactive surveyors who are happy to work remotely and independently.

Woodward Chartered Surveyors
Despite Lockdowns and Covid-Secure working, Woodward Chartered Surveyors have continued surveying throughout. That is one of many benefits of being a medium-sized firm; having the dynamics to adjust quickly to changing demand, make new processes and implement safe procedures. This culminated in their busiest month in a decade for Building Surveying this Summer and their busiest month ever for Party Wall work in the Spring, despite the Pandemic.
They are currently advertising for a new Chartered Surveyor to join their team, either as a Building Surveyor, Party Wall surveyor or someone with experience of both.
The position is based at their riverside surveyors office in Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire with their team of five other full-time surveyors and four Admin Team members. There is no instruction by an App and an occasional Zoom meeting with us. Remote working might drive short term profits, but they don’t believe it makes the best surveyors. Instead, they focus on the dynamics of sharing between professionals and the ethos of life-long learning.
