St Albans is already home to national and international organisations, and across the district it has been earmarked for no fewer than three enterprise zones. Within the City and District there is significant growth, both commercial developments and in the shape of new housing schemes.

We are looking for talented individuals with strong leadership, commercial acumen and business expertise to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Housing and the Head of Community Services, you will be responsible for delivering property related, statutory services with a 50% split over both service areas.

You will be the lead officer for the delivery of Capital projects and planned maintenance programmes, facilities management of the Council’s operational buildings and Estates Management and Valuation.

With a commercial emphasis, you will lead on the development and implementation of the Housing and Corporate Asset Management Strategies, to ensure best use is made of Council assets and ensure revenue streams are maximised.

We offer a competitive package which includes essential user car allowance, up to 26 days annual leave, pension contributions of up to 16.8%, reimbursement of professional fees, parking facilities and others.

Our refurbished offices are in the city centre near to the station (London St Pancras 20 minutes), shops and restaurants. In short it is a great place to live and work.
