Experienced Commercial Property/Asset Manager

Part Time

A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced part time Property/Asset Manager to join our team for 3 days a week.

Working closely with the Property Director, you will be responsible for driving the portfolio forward. You will provide support in all aspects of the property management process, but with specific responsibility for the performance and growth of the commercial property portfolio.

An experienced, confident self-starter with an entrepreneurial edge, looking for your next career move, you will have worked at a senior level within the property industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to grow the portfolio, and manage the acquisition process to completion
  • Identify and analyse asset management opportunities
  • Ensure correct, timely demands are sent for all rent and other items while minimising arrears of all monies due and overseeing recovery as appropriate
  • Administer all property insurance and property owner liability cover in line with current legislation
  • Liaise with the maintenance team to ensure all minor routine maintenance and non-structural repairs are carried out
  • Regularly inspect properties internally and externally to ensure proper occupation and compliance with lease terms

Ideal Candidate:

  • A strong personality with a flexible attitude
  • Good local/regional network (or willingness to develop such a network)
  • Good knowledge of landlord, tenant law and law
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
  • A good practical and pragmatic turn of mind
  • A commercial attitude
  • Ability to maintain a focus on objectives and strategies
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Innovative approach and ability to think laterally
  • Positive team player
  • Ability to establish and develop excellent working relationships with all internal and external parties
