Your new team are a global real estate services provider with a network that spans across the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. A FTSE 250 company, they advise corporate, institutional and private clients who are seeking to acquire, lease, develop or realise the value of residential and commercial property in the world's key locations. Your new employer locally are looking to expand their Haywards Heath Office and as a result require an experienced residential valuer to join their team.

Your new role

An opportunity exists for a Valuer within the national Housing Valuation team based in the Haywards Heath office. You will advise housing associations and lenders on all aspects of portfolio valuation within the affordable housing sector, providing a mixture of Large Scale Revaluations for security purposes ; mixed-funding valuations for security purposes ; valuations for internal, agency and stock trade purposes and valuations for accounts purposes. Other aspects of the role will include attending team meeting, driving new business and liaising with a wide variety of sub-contractors regarding inspection and market research. This is a senior level role and as such, you will be expected to help train graduates and assist with graduate recruitment as well as help to steer and drive new business to your new employer.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a fee earner with responsibility for their own jobs from start to finish. The portfolio valuation process involves property inspections, client liaison, comparable research, data analysis, preparation of valuations, reporting to clients and attending meetings as required. It is advantageous to have knowledge of discounted cash flow models and understand the assumptions adopted in complex investment valuations and research, though training will be provided. You will look to develop client relationships and win new business for the team through networking and attending housing conferences. The ideal candidate will be MRICS qualified with proven experience in undertaking portfolio valuations. You should have Good knowledge of the residential valuation process and the RICS Red Book with an analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail and strong report writing skills. Above all you should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, remaining highly motivated in a sometime pressurised environment.
