Facilities Management are responsible for the development and maintenance of the self-contained, green campus and are planning a GBP 150m capital investment programme over the next 4 years on campus along with ambitious plans for the development of Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP) . There are circa 100 commercial tenants comprising over 50,000sqm of commercial space employing circa 2,500 staff. This is an essential part of the University Strategy for growth, generates essential income and builds relationships with University partners.

We are seeking to appoint a motivated Surveyor with at least two years property management experience and ideally a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Although, consideration will be given to exceptional candidates who are still undertaking their Assessment of Professional Competence. Reporting to and working closely with the University Surveyor, the Property Management Surveyor will be responsible for most of the day to day management of the University commercially let assets and some other estate related legal matters.

The ideal candidate:

•Will act as a respected and effective landlord's agent with the ability to work independently with third parties to take briefs, negotiate heads of terms, leases/licenses and prepare simple template based legal agreements where appropriate.

•Will have the ability to develop and sustain good relationships with campus partners (tenants) in relation to their space and property needs, alert to opportunities for wider engagement and able to work alongside other University staff to this end.

•Will have an awareness of wider estate matters such as rating, valuation, insurance, boundaries and rights of way and a willingness to develop their knowledge and skills further.
