About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Surveyor to assist the Facilities and Asset Management team to meet the current and future needs of the Council.
Working within a small team you will be responsible for ensuring the Councils built assets are maintained to appropriate standards, adhering to best practice to maximise opportunities for enhanced service delivery and value for money.
You will be required to assist in the preparation of capital bids for construction related projects with key internal and external stakeholders.
You will be expected to provide valuation advice and lead on the negotiation of lease and rent reviews and renewals.
You will be a member of RICS or equivalent and will have a good working knowledge of related legislative requirements and current emerging national initiatives and recommended practices. In addition you will have a detailed understanding of contract management practices and an excellent understanding of project management methodologies.
