Sheffield City Council is looking to recruit Development Surveyors to join its Property Services Team to play a pivotal role in shaping the City and delivering some of its most prestigious and exciting initiatives.

You will act as a lead advisor on development matters proactively supporting the delivery of the Council’s vision for growth through its land and property holdings. You will lead negotiations with the public and private sectors including acquisition / land assembly and disposal of sites for commercial and residential development. Managing a varied workload you will be responsible for bringing a caseload of sites to market, preparation of development appraisals, feasibility studies, viability assessments and asset valuations. You’ll be liaising with Planners, Architects, Senior Council Officers and Members.

Your Profile:

Significant track record of successful delivery of large and complex commercial and residential development projects.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen
  • An innovative thinker with experience of formulating public / private delivery mechanisms
  • Experience of working in a client facing role.
  • MRICS/FRICS and Registered Valuer

We are particularly interested in individuals with residential development experience and CPO expertise would be desirable.
