Graduate Building Surveyor

This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor with experience of, and a real passion for, building surveying. You will be joining a positive, dynamic team which has driven the recent expansion within this sector.
You will develop a wide range of valuable skills and knowledge and will play an active role in providing all kinds of building surveying services, covering clients’ needs. Because of the incredibly varied nature of our work, it is vital that you are highly flexible and keen to learn and develop.
From day one, you will be involved in a variety of duties involving survey and project work. You will assist senior team members with design and surveys, producing reports, drawings, schedule maintenance work and supporting contract procurement and project management. Working with colleagues who are experts in their field, you will discover how to develop cutting edge solutions, maximise technical quality and efficiency, achieve project revenue targets and use specialist software.

- Design and management of refurbishment, alteration, extension & conversion works
- Feasibility reports & option appraisals
- Lifecycle & condition surveys and assessments
- Pre-acquisition surveys
- Planned maintenance programmes
- Statutory consents applications
- Defect analysis
- Conservation and historic building consultancy
- Statutory compliance surveys
- Equality act audits
- Licences to alter advice
- Measured surveys and drawings
- Dilapidations advice
As a WYG Graduate you will also be enrolled on our Graduate Development Programme which will provide valuable learning and development opportunities to help you extend your skills in areas such as project management, commercial and business development and risk management. Candidates should show keen interest in building surveying, design and project management. You will also have great communication skills, a collaborative approach and proven ability to deliver on your promises. Applicants must hold a valid UK driving license as there will be an element of travel involved, due to work locations.
Experience: Pre-APC, seeking to gain RICS chartered status. Full support will be offered for training towards APC.
