Location: Home based position – Yorkshire Postcode.

Hours: Full Time or Part Time Positions

Salary Package:

£40-£48K base salary per annum based on skills, knowledge and experience, 10% commission on net billing (OTE £65-£75K), a car allowance of £3600.00 per annum. RICS subscription fees and CPD support, private health insurance, mobile phone, laptop/tablet and printer. Homeworking contract.

Key Accountabilities:

To generate fee paying income for the Firm by undertaking a variety of professional valuation work.

Able to undertake bank valuations, homebuyer surveys and building survey reports. This role provides an opportunity for the Surveyor to develop their skills, knowledge and experience in all areas of valuation and survey from residential, commercial and block management activities supported through coaching activities with other experienced surveyors.

To work with a centralised services team based in the Head Office and network with other residential and commercial valuers.

To develop and maintain professional contacts throughout the Firm’s geographical area, developing and building business levels.

To provide excellent customer service to both private and corporate clients ensuring that all deadlines are achieved.

To input into the development of the Firm’s Policies and Procedures and Survey’s business strategy within their geographical location.

To keep professionally up-to-date and maintain adequate records

To comply with the RICS Rules of Conduct and Bylaws and where relevant to apply to all areas of work the RICS Appraisal and Valuation Standards, RICS Guidance Notes and RICS Codes of Practice.

Requirements of the Role:

The jobholder will need to be a qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Registered Valuer. They will need to have worked in the area they reside to show to panels that they have knowledge and experience in their geographical area.

The jobholder will need to be able to work under their own initiative and be self-motivated to generate new business and to be able to meet challenging targets. Good interpersonal skills are therefore essential. The job holder will need to have detailed knowledge of RICS rules and regulations. A Driving Licence is essential.

The role is home based but is supported through a central team of Valuation Services Co-ordinators and a network of other Chartered Surveyors.

A firm of independent property professionals providing residential and commercial property services covering sales, management, lettings, valuations, surveys and a range of specialist professional services. Employ and work alongside consultants that provide an experienced workforce of between 50-100 people. The firm and employees are members of professional and regulatory bodies. These include the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the National Association of Estate Agents, the Association of Residential Letting Agents, the Association of Accounting Technicians, the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, the Chartered Institute of Marketing and The Chartered Institute of Housing.
