Quantity Surveyor

Academy Consulting is an award-winning consultancy of Project Managers, Chartered Surveyors and Construction Health & Safety Advisors with offices in London and Tunbridge Wells.

We need a newly qualified or post APC QS who is ambitious, client facing, and a communicative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.  You will need to be technically competent and MRICS qualified, or post APC, with previous experience in a PQS office, having a background of delivering projects from conception to completion.

We have a growing and exciting workload in the commercial, residential, education, healthcare, retail and industrial sectors and we are able to provide a wide variety of work for engaged and client-facing professionals.  Our high profile clients demand a quality service in the delivery of their projects up to £60m in value.

Academy works on sites across the South of England.  Our growing London office needs a new client-focused Quantity Surveyor, who will have excellent prospects for progression.  We will support training and career development.  This opportunity will lead to promotion for the right person. 

Key Responsibilities: 

You will undertake Quantity Surveying and Cost Management duties, including cost planning, preparation of tender documents and contract and project administration, including valuation, change management, cost reporting and the settlement of final accounts. 

Ideally you will have experience in one or more of the following:

• Contract Administration
• Employer’s Agent
• Knowledge of Value and Risk Management and WLC
• Mechanical and Electrical Services knowledge
