Principal Valuation & Housing Surveyor

Salary:  £44697 (point 49)

Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week

Base: County Hall, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire

We seek an enthusiastic and experienced chartered surveyor to deal with a broad range of residential focussed valuation and surveying work.

The council has an excellent track record having invested £58m in the last ten years in the delivery of new housing and you will play a key role building on this success working with colleagues to deliver at least 100 new dwellings per annum through a variety of projects and schemes.  

Based in Beverley, you will work out of the office on a regular basis identifying and acquiring new sites, working in partnership with developers and landowners, negotiating the terms for acquisitions and development agreements involving mixed tenure schemes.

Working within a friendly and commercially focussed team, you will have excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and time management skills.  You will undertake your own case work and be responsible for the management of a small team of professional staff dealing with red book valuations, financial viability appraisals, Section 106 and other purchases plus the disposal of surplus land and property.
