DEPUTY HEAD OF ESTATES

Winchester College may have buildings dating back to 1382, but the next few years will see a massive investment in the future with the building of a £35 million Sports Centre, together with the continued custodianship of the medieval portfolio.  The role of the Deputy Head of Estates will be central to this challenge and we seek a property professional with project and people management skills to help deliver this exciting and demanding development in the life of the school.

This new position will support the Works Bursar, Director of Buildings, in all aspects of his role, and will work closely with the College Project Manager, the Works Manager and the H&S Officer. The Works Department consists of 27 members, including carpenters, painters, heating and plumbing engineers, and some general labourers.

This position will suit an experienced individual, ideally with a professional qualification from RICS, CIOB, RIBA, or CIAT; or someone with extensive project experience and proven contract management, all within the traditional construction industry.
