Job Details
Currie & Brown is currently looking for an assistant quantity surveyor in the Birmingham office who meets the following requirements:The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider. Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:
- Undertaking the preparation of simple cost plans and estimates and contributing to the development of more complex pieces of work under supervisionContributing to the preparation of tender documentation
- Undertaking measurement of drawings Assisting in the tendering and procurement of contractors for projects
- Monitoring project costs in line with approved budget
- Assisting in financial reporting of a project in post contract phase
- RICS APC-qualifying degree
- Ambition to become MRICS Strong technical skillsIT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & other bespoke)
- Good time management and prioritisation skills, delivering quality work within deadlines
- Flexible, able to adapt to different work practices and demonstrate an appreciation of the wider implications of our client's projects
- Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to think clearly and make reasoned decisions, explaining the logic employed
