THE ROLE
This is an excellent opportunity for a contract PROJECT MANAGER or SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER who is keen to join a successful firm of construction consultants seconded to their client offices in Swansea to work on Water projects.
You will have the opportunity of working on a range of water projects representing the client and ideally you will have worked on projects in other sectors e.g. rail, residential, leisure, commercial.
Ideally you will be MRICS or MAPM or approaching chartered status.
THE CLIENT
The client is a large firm of construction consultants with offices in the U.K. and abroad.
They work on project management and cost management across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, leisure, education, rail, water etc.
THE CANDIDATE
My client is now seeking a contract Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to work based in client offices in Swansea, South Wales.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Architecture or Civil / Structural Engineering or similar and ideally you will be MRICS or MAPM or similarly qualified or working towards becoming chartered.
You should have gained around five years or more experience in Project Management in the construction industry and you will have worked for another firm of consultants, end user client or developer.
Previous experience of working on Water related projects is preferred or possibly other utilities.
Previous experience of NEC3 is preferred and experience of JCT contracts too.
You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate.
You should be able to run your own projects of various values, generally from around £5m to £20m.
A U.K. driving licence and your own vehicle is preferred.
Rate is negotiable according to experience.
