Our growing loss adjusting service organization is looking to fill a position within the Construction team of our City based office. We serve both UK and international insurance and reinsurance markets on a wide array of complex losses. The person in question should be very organized, dynamic, comfortable working autonomously, with an eye for detail and show initiative, proactiveness, flexibility and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
• Provide technical support on the handling of construction claims in the UK predominantly.
• Support the Construction team in the investigation, quantification and management of insurance claims made by construction companies and their employers.
• Coordinate the claims internally with the administration and finance teams as well as externally with clients and key stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of formal written reports detailing all aspects of the claim including
defects analysis, contract and legal analysis and the extent of damage losses.
• Undertake site inspections, interviewing senior management and site staff.
• Develop relationships with internal and external clients in the construction and insurance markets.
• Undertake presentations to clients and to the insurance market.
• Travel may be required (UK predominantly and international limited).
• Ad-hoc duties.
Skills/experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working Construction, Surveying and/or Engineering.
• Experience with quantity surveying related activities such as procurement and administration of contracts within the UK.
• RICS or equivalent qualified (preferred).
• Bachelor degree (Construction related subject preferred).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.
• Advance user of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Native/Fluent proficiency in English (mandatory), additional European languages (recommended).
• Must hold full UK Driving License.
• Excellent organizational, communication skills and attention to detail.
• Pro-active with a hands-on approach.
