Permanent Contract, Full time, Career

Band 8 Salary from £22,766 to £27,825 per annum currently.

This post is full time (37 hours per week).

Daventry District Council has created an opportunity for a postgraduate Estates Surveyor to join a dynamic team that provides strategic Asset Management and Commercial Estates Management within the Council. The position will involve all aspects of the general estate management of our diverse and expanding property portfolio, including the review and disposal of surplus property, acquisitions, new developments, valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals of a range of commercial properties owned by the Council.

The Council has a commercial portfolio that is managed internally by the estates' team. It is an important function of the Council as it continues to look to invest for the future and develop the earnings potential of the assets held and to support the Councils revenue stream.

If you are a strong team player, commercially focused, and have a broad understanding of commercial landlord and tenant matters, this position can offer you challenge and a wide range of experience.

Candidates should hold an appropriate degree, or equivalent RICS accredited degree, with full support through their APC provided towards achieving a professional qualification (MRICS).

This role requires strong communication and negotiating skills, the willingness to undertake professional study and the confidence to take responsibility and deliver to get the job done.

For an informal discussion, please contact Kevin Flynn, Property Services Manager on 01327 302553

We offer a generous benefits package including flexible working and pension scheme.
