Chartered Building Surveyor - Client side

A fantastic opportunity with in a client organisation has just been created for a chartered building surveyor, to join a Landed Estate in the West End of London.

This client organisation owns and develops a property portfolio that is made up of commercial, residential and retail assets. The diverse portfolio is all located within a short walk of the offices.

The business was established in trust of looking after and developing the family portfolio, of which there are now many beneficiaries. It now employs near 100 staff, has a building and projects team of 8, with it’s leader sitting on the board. The level of tenure and time served by the team, as well as greater business, in this day and age is seriously impressive and is testament to how they are looked after and reward by the owners of the business.

Duties are mainly project led, dealing with cyclical and planned maintenance, refurbishments, alterations and replacement of building services. You will be responsible for scoping the works, developing the brief, setting budgets, controlling cost, appointing and managing consultants through to handover.

You will be a chartered building surveyor, who is probably a few years post qualified, your experience will come from private practice or a client organisation. It is essential that you are used to managing your own workload, working within and contributing to a team environment.  You will have a solid grounding in industry, be strong at building pathology, have worked with listed buildings and have excellent contract knowledge. You will be used to using Microsoft Office, in particular word and excel, and have a good understanding of project.
