Building Surveyor - Employee owned, award-winning firm

Beach Baker are thrilled to be recruiting for a Building Surveyor for the Plymouth office of a multi-disciplinary company. A new role has been created due to an increased workload, and so the company are looking for an MRICS Building Surveyor who is driven and able to play a strategic and integral role in the firm. The candidate will have ambitions to develop their career within a projects-biased environment.

The firm:

This market leading consultancy were founded over 70 years' ago, and offer surveying, design and town planning services. They have won a range of prestigious awards and through their success, have continued to increase both the number of offices and employees significantly.

The building surveying team have an excellent pipeline of work for the next five years, and thus the Plymouth team is growing substantially. The position will be based in the soon-to-be refurbished Grade-II listed offices and the team is a close-knit and friendly group who work together to help make the business a success.

The role:

The candidate will have the opportunity to complete professional work, the design and management of refurbishment projects (£50k-250k value mainly in the Education and Healthcare sectors), contract administration, defects analysis, party wall work and project management.

The candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a confident and driven individual, who is ideally MRICS.

They will also be:

• Between 1-5 years' PQE
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Full and clean driving license
