Acquisitions/Asset Management Analyst required on behalf of a real estate private equity firm based in London.

 

Our client invests in a diverse pipeline of assets across major cities in the UK with a transaction values ranging anywhere from  £1 million to £10 million. The firm focuses on a varied combination of secondary and tertiary assets, mainly in the offices and retail sectors. They are now looking for an Acquisitions/Asset Management Analyst with exceptional numerical skills to gain exposure to both asset management and underwriting transactions.

The successful candidate will be involved in a solid pipeline and deal flow as the firm has a sizeable amount of capital to deploy. Working hand in hand with Asset and Transaction Managers, you will provide analysis of strategic asset management and deal sourcing, originating, underwriting and executing transactions. This role will provide an excellent grounding of all aspects of investment management.

 

About the role:

  • Financial modeling in Excel including creating models from scratch
  • Due diligence process (real estate valuation, legal and financial due diligence etc.)
  • Preparing business plans and assisting the management team in executing them
  • Preparing investment memoranda on investment opportunities and presenting your findings to colleagues and investment committee
  • Portfolio analysis
  • Visiting potential sites for acquisition

 

About you:

  • 6-18 months' experience in real estate private equity, real estate debt , real estate investment banking or real estate corporate finance
  • Able to build complex cashflows from scratch in Excel (essential)
  • Min. 2:1 degree in a real estate, real estate finance or finance degree
  • Excellent command of written English
  • Highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Forward-thinking personality with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and sometimes pressured environment
  • MRICS (preferable but not essential)
