Senior Design Manager - Residential Developer

Design Manager for prestigious central London residential developer.

Our client is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join their central London development team. This is a new role that has been created to help the business standardise their internal design banding's, and ensure brand consistency throughout their various residential developments. Although they will of course differ, they want design consistency and standardisation across the schemes, and the internal criteria used for the different levels of product they offer to external market.

The role is similar to that of a technical manager, but whilst you should have a good technical background, technical management and design critique will not be the key part of the job. It will be design standardisation and place- making. You'll provide innovative ideas as to how you can translate the brand in to physical buildings, and also do this through place making.

You'll work closely with the external interior design team and architects, also to creating workable ideas for place-making, whilst considering the cost, value and technical aspects too. Working on how you can draw customers and non residents to visit, and what communities may want to see created on the retail and public realm side.

You'll report to the development director but work across all areas of the business - sales, construction, commercial and projects, so you'll get great exposure to the whole business and the development cycle.

It's likely that you'll have an interior design or architectural background and a passion for current design and interior trends.
