About the role

Due to our increasing workload, we are currently seeking a Senior/Principal Quantity Surveyor to be based at our Glasgow office. You will carry out pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties, including review and audit work, working as part of our team on a range of public and private sector projects (education, healthcare, blue light, commercial) in the Central Belt and the Highlands.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team supported by a medium-sized multi-disciplinary consultancy with 11 offices across the UK. The right person will also have the opportunity to contribute to the management and development of our Quantity Surveying division in Scotland.

Our current commissions are within £1m-£24m range and include the following:

• 100-bed care home 
• Internal refurbishment of university library 
• Internal and external work for university 
• New build offices and fire training centre 
• Refurbishment of fire station and offices 
• Various works for the Scottish Police Authority
• Various works for the Scottish Forestry Commission
• Dundee Waterfront landscaping and Active Hub Building

About you

Ideally you will have:

• MRICS / Chartered Surveyor status
• Min. 10 years’ experience of cost management of building projects from feasibility/option studies through to detailed cost planning and post contract cost management
• Multi-sector background gained in consultancy environment
• Understanding of the principal standard forms of building contracts including JCT and NEC3
• Full UK driving licence
