Quantity Surveyor, Kent

A multi-disciplinary consultancy with an established Quantity Surveying division across London and the South East are seeking a confident Quantity Surveyor with previous experience working for a developer, or main contractor.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will join the PQS/Consultancy's Cost Management team who are currently working on a range of high rise, mixed use schemes.

Based in Sevenoaks, the successful Quantity Surveyor shall take ownership of projects, assist the team on large cost schemes, and shall have the opportunity to progress.

The Quantity Surveyors Role

  • Producing Bills of Quantities
  • Estimating from RIBA stage 2 initial concepts through to RIBA stage 5,
  • Client liaison and attending design team meetings
  • Supply chain package procurement
  • Reviewing and analysing Main Contractors Tender submissions
  • Cost exercises for clients.
  • Value Engineering

The Quantity Surveyor

  • Minimum of 5 years QS experience
  • Previous experience with a developer or main contractor
  • Strong cost knowledge
  • Client facing
  • JCT and Design & Build contract knowledge
  • Good IT skills
