Technical Mentors (for Level 3)

Required to support our Built Environment Apprentice learners

Part time, casual work, field and home-based

Fixed pay rates via payroll (per apprentice learner)

University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is the leading provider of supported online education for the Built Environment, with over 95 years’ experience of providing the highest quality learning opportunities.  At any one time, we have over 3,500 students from more than 100 countries benefiting from our qualifications.  UCEM helps to enhance Built Environment professional careers through our accredited property-related and construction programmes, offered at Postgraduate, Undergraduate and Apprenticeship levels.

Our Apprenticeship programmes at Level 3 have seen rapid growth in learner numbers and we are now expanding our staff team.  We are seeking both practising and recently retired Associate members to support Apprentices through our Technical Mentor scheme, and help us deliver against our Core Purpose.

Are you a Chartered Surveyor?

Are you qualified in one of the RICS recognised pathways, particularly Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, General Practice or Valuation?

Have you supported candidates through AssocRICS?

Are you willing to travel to meet learners?

Do you have a flexible approach?

Are you passionate about mentoring?

If so, we want to hear from you!

The number of learners you could mentor depends on your specialism, your availability, and flexibility.  Pay is fixed per learner (not a number of working hours) and is paid via the UCEM payroll, in instalments.  Technical Mentors will be assigned Worker employment status and will be employed by UCEM on a Worker Contract.  This requires full registration on our payroll system – please do not contact us if you wish to work in any other way.
