We are looking to bring new members into our multi-disciplinary team to strengthen the office and help to continue our growth and success going forwards. 

Outline Role:

This is an exciting opportunity which will involve assisting in the process of identifying and acquiring new stock for out development and asset management projects. Working within the development delivery team and assisting with our Property Management arm.

We are looking for a motivated person to join the team who is an experienced qualified Surveyor (Building or Quantity) with the following key skills: costing works, contractor tendering and review, project management, building condition surveys and reports. Ideally with a good breadth of project experience covering construction values from minor to major works both within house and with consultant teams.  

As our business continues to grow, you will enjoy working in a thoughtful but fast-paced environment with direct engagement with the entire internal team, external consultants, agents, tenants, landlords and contractors. Core Responsibilities:

General:

  • Provide technical and professional support to the asset management, property development and property management team. 
  • Monitoring, forecasting and reporting to the Directors on all aspects of the property maintenance and refurbishment projects.

Property Development:

  • Work with the team to identify opportunities for site acquisition and assembly. 
  • Assist with technical and financial viability assessments for current, future and pipeline projects including due diligence on title, planning and scheme feasibility. 
  • Establish opportunities to add value to our existing property portfolio and maximise temporary income where required.
  • Work with the development team to define delivery strategy from work stages 0-7. 

Property Management:

  • Assist with the management of residential and commercial maintenance and refurbishment projects, including tender, budget, programme, sourcing and tracking materials; quality control and management of contractors.
  • Develop construction programmes for our own Property Development sites; with costings, programmes for completion and specifications of works.

Skills and requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • MRICS,
  • Project management and programming,
  • Technical knowledge and competence,
  • A logical and practical mind with the ability to analyse problems to identify optimal solutions,
  • Methodical with good attention to detail,
  • Strong commercial awareness,
  • High standard of interpersonal skills with clear and concise verbal and written communication,
  • The ability to build lasting relationships with contractors, consultants, clients and colleagues,
  • A self-motivated attitude, a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
  • IT literate, with knowledge of 2-d computer-aided design autocad; Microsoft Office, project/scheduler. (other programmes welcomed).  
  • A genuine passion for and understating of the property development industry,
  • A good source of trade and professional contacts an advantage.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Education and Experience:

  • surveying: 5 years and Chartered professional
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant 

Remuneration:

Competitive salary and benefits in line with market – dependant on experience

28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
