Graduate OR Trainee Building Surveyor

Multi-disciplinary property practice, based just south of Cambridge, recruiting for a grad building surveyor

Your new role
You will be joining the team as a graduate building surveyor, where you will be shadowing the chartered building surveyors within the team. You'll work on projects within education, healthcare, sport & leisure, commercial & residential, giving a real breadth of project work. Within your role, you will learn general building surveying duties, including condition surveys, party wall works, dilapidations and project management.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this position, you will either have an RICS accredited degree, or genuine passion to work in property and become a fully trained building surveyor. For those with a degree, you will have the support of an in house APC assessor, who is well versed in training and supporting surveyors through their APC. You will need to have the initiative and ambition to take on professional development, training, whilst balancing your daily work load. For those without a degree, you will need to utilise the training courses, and support at your disposal to become well versed within surveying. You will also need to be client facing, as you'll be asked over time, to pick up and manage your own projects with the firms established & local clientele. You will also need to be able to work as part of a team, in collaboration with the larger team.

You'll receive the support of an APC Assessor, who is also a fully chartered building surveyor. You will have access to Technical courses, RICS accredited training classes and in house seminars. You'll be given the opportunity to work across a number of different projects, truly being able to manage them from end to end. You'll be part of a friendly and social group, that enjoy monthly social gatherings, that plan regular events for the team. You'll receive a salary of up to £22,000, 22 days annual leave, increasing by 2 days for every year with the firm. You'll also receive a government pension, and your own parking space.
